I offer at-home 30 minute sessions including ground work and mounted work exercises to keep your horse in rhythm.   

Horsemanship Lessons

Want to learn how to work at liberty in the round pen with your horse?

Or, want to learn the foundations of good horsemanship?

Want to become a better and more confident rider?

I offer 1 hour, one on one sessions with you and your horse to teach you important ground work skills and coaching to develop your riding.

Effective problem-solving services for issues such as: trailer/loading problems, behavioural issues/bad manner issues, rider confidence, Farrier issues etc...

Training Style/Philosophy

A combination of natural horsemanship techniques are used from the styles of the best original horseman such as: Buck Brannaman, Monty Roberts and Tom Dorrance. Teaching having connection and feel with the horse and clear equine communication. 

Lessons/Clinics

Private lessons and group lessons are offered. Clinics are ran through the spring, summer and falls months and are also a fun and social way to improve your horsemanship and riding skills.

About Sisu Equestrian

Katrina is a well rounded rider and trainer in both English and western disciplines located in Hanmer, Ontario. With 25 years of experience in the equestrian world and 5 years of training with a natural horsemanship trainer, Katrina is dedicated to helping horse and rider develop a harmonious partnership. Working at multiple stables as a groom and rider in Sudbury and Ottawa, even traveling as far as Florida, she worked with numerous types of horses including: untouched foals, green horses, A-circuit show horses and problem horses. Focused on positive reinforcement and proven training techniques based on trust, respect, and clear communication, in order to help clients achieve their equestrian goals and build lasting relationships with their horses.
